How heavy is an e-bike?

E-bikes can weigh 20kg/45lbs and more; for comparison, a full-suspension mountain bike is about 13kg/30lbs. However, depending on the category, an e-bike can be surprisingly light!
How fast does it go?

Electric-assist bicycles are governed at 32km/hr and they won’t assist beyond this point – but just like any other bicycle you can always pedal harder and go faster.
YES – All of our e-bikes are classified as ‘Class 1’ e-bikes. These e-bikes are pedal assist bikes, which means you need to pedal to get power. Electric-assist systems amplify your pedaling power – simply put: no pedaling, nothing to amplify.

Are the batteries safe?

YES – Our e-bike systems offer sophisticated batteries with internal battery management mechanisms that prevent over heating, short circuits, overcurrent, discharge, and overcharge. Cells are both thermally and mechanically separated to prevent chain reactions in case of failure
YES - we have a selection of demo/rental e-bikes available in the shop. We have both City and E-MTB options available to test. See our rental options here! Rental/Demo fee’s can be applied to a new bike purchases within 60 days.
